Guillermina Ramos, Special Education Teacher and her 3rd year students of the Special Teacher career of the Institute 167 of Tres Arroyos, Province of Buenos Aires (Argentina) have carried out the project of signage with pictograms of ARASAAC of the Municipal Sports Center, in collaboration with the Disability Area of the Ministry of Prevention and Health and the Sports Directorate of the municipality.

The objective of this project consists of “signaling public spaces with the alternative-augmentative communication system because it alternates and increases the disability of the person”. In addition, “the ARASAAC pictograms that are recognized worldwide” have been used.

The project has also included the installation of 60 signs with pictograms and the painting of wheelchairs in yellow so that this place is respected.

From ARASAAC,we transmit our support and our recognition to all the people and institutions involved, especially Guillermina and her students for the fantastic initiative and for the magnificent work carried out. Congratulations!
